Summary Statistics are used to summarize a set of observations from a numeric variable, in order to communicate the largest amount as simply as possible. Additionally, depending on the value of some of these summary statistics, Mineful provides a brief description of their meaning. Mineful's Summary Statistics Analysis provides:

1. Measures of central tendency: mean, median, and quartiles
2. Measures of dispersion: standard deviation
3. Measures of the shape of the distribution: kurtosis and skewness
