Integrating Customer Information

What does that mean? Suppose a fitness center runs a survey asking members about their experience. The center can now analyze survey responses according to previously stored member information, like demographics or purchasing behavior.

By integrating survey results with customer data, you can easily determine answers to questions like:

• What services are most important to your best customers?
• How does customer satisfaction affect purchase frequency?
• What specific features are important to various customer segments?

Integrating Product or Order Information

Integrate information about your products or an order with survey results. The first question of the survey will be the unique product or order identifier.

Data-Driven Text Piping

Insert text from your database into your survey questions. If for example, your database contains name and last product bought, you can insert that information in your survey questions. You could ask, "Mary, how satisfied are you with your purchase of the HP Office Jet 6210?" where Mary and HP Office Jet 6210 were dynamically extracted from your database.

Survey Colors

Add color to your online surveys. Choose a color from a color picker or write your own RGB or hex color. Change the color to various parts of the survey. When you are editing your survey, go to Options, select Themes, and customize the colors of your survey. To view the changes you made, Preview your survey using the Preview button on the top menu. Below is a slideshow showing you the different parts of the page you can customize.

Table with Dropdown Menus

Have you ever needed to collect data using a table with dropdown menus? It is rare, but our clients have requested it and we have responded. Now, you can turn any column or row on a Table question type into a dropdown menu. In order to do this, there is a little trick that only expert Mineful users will learn if they see the slideshow below.

Table Question Type

Mineful, a leader in online survey software, has just come out with a new question type, the table. We now have tables and matrices, two simliar question types. The difference being that with matrices, you select a choice with a radio button or checkbox. With the table format, the data is collected with text boxes to allow free text or numeric responses. Optionally, you can choose to restrict the data to be numeric only.

Respondent's copy of survey answers

When very important information is collected, a respondent might want to keep a copy of what he or she has entered. Mineful has responded to our clients' requests and developed the functionality to download a PDF file of the survey taker's responses. To allow respondents to print survey answers, simply go to Options while editing survey and check the option "Allow respondent to print the survey".

Language Setting

Mineful has added a feature that will benefit all of our Spanish speaking users. Mineful 3.7 allows users to interact with Mineful in Spanish. To start using Mineful in Spanish, log on to Mineful and go to Start -> Settings -> Language and select Español from the dropdown menu. Log out and log back in to experience Mineful in Spanish.

Note: Your surveys and forms can be made in many languages including Portuguese, French, German, Dutch, and more... This new feature allows you to change the language of the application to either Spanish or English.

Real-time Reports

Survey Quick Results Button

The Survey Quick Results Button gives users quick access to their survey results in chart, record by record, or table format.

Survey Email Invitation Opt-Out Option

NO SPAM! Email opt out feature is very important to us. Each survey email invitation sent using our email lists will have an opt out option below your email message. You can now feel comfortable sending email invitations with Mineful because we follow the rules set by CAN-SPAM Act. Mineful helps you deliver survey email invitations by following best practices:

• Confirm opt-out requests are automatically handled.
• The body of the survey email invitation includes a link if recipient does not which to receive further survey invitations from sender.
• Emails will never be sent again to people who opted out of your survey invitations.

We would like to state unequivocally that we are completely, totally against SPAM. We get our fair share each day and believe that this form of uninvited advertising is a major drain on resources of people and the Internet.

Data Views and Survey/Form Options Enhanced

Two major interface enhancements accompany this new release. With data views, you can now easily look at each record individually or switch to a table format with just one click. The survey and form option menu has been separated into categories so you can get quick access to the option that you are looking for. Whether it is adding a progress bar, editing the thank you message, or uploading a logo and changing theme colors.

Delete Records from your Data

Invalid entries or erroneous entries can now be deleted via the Data Views. Before this release, you could edit responses, but now you can delete them as well. A warning message will let you know that you are about to delete a survey or form entry.

File Upload on Online Forms

A new data field "File" allows you to collect files from your online forms. Mineful Personal Members can collect resumes, pictures, and any type of file from respondents.

Receive survey and form entries by email

On the Options Menu for your survey or form, check the "Notify me of new entries." option. For every new entry, you will receive an email to the address provided in the account. You can change this email address under Start -> Settings -> My Account.

Collaborate in the creation and analysis of surveys and forms

With a Business Account, now you can collaborate surveys and forms with specific users. Before this release, Mineful Business Members could share the survey with ALL users. Now you can choose which users to share a survey/form with.

Survey Skip Logic

You can now implement skip logic for your online survey questions. This allows you to program your survey to answer or skip a certain question based on previous answers.

Chart Display Options

Users now have more flexibility in creating charts to their own liking by having the ability to display results in various chart types, colors, fonts, titles, number formats, etc.

Numeric Ranking Question

A new ranking question type has been added. This numeric rank question asks respondents to compares choices to each of the other choices.

Disable Survey Back Button

Sometimes, you may not want respondents to go back and change their answers. This option disappears the back button link so users cannot go back to a page and edit their responses.

Save Result Charts as Images

After you run an analysis and charts are displayed, you can easily output the results as an image. Right click anywhere on chart and hit the save as image button to save the result in jpeg format.

Drop Down Question for Online Surveys

Multiple-choice single answer questions can be displayed as drop downs. Select display type dropdown and optionally enter default text (e.g. Select a state...).

Online Form Columns Toggle Button

Mineful's online form creator allows to create online forms with one or two columns. If you have designed your form with one column and decide you want to switch to a 2-column format, now you can just click the toggle button and switch to a 2-column online form.

Survey Cross-Tabs

The Analysis Sandbox now delivers survey cross-tabs. Choose 2 multiple choice questions and this simple analysis outputs the frequency of respondents that answered each combination of choices. A cross-tab analysis is a great way to see how the answers to one question affect another. Cross tabs are frequently used because:

   1. They are easy to understand.
   2. They are simple to conduct.
   3. A graph can provide greater insight than single statistics or tables.

Duplicate Entry Protection

This option can be chosen to allow only one questionnaire or business form submission for each cookie. The Duplicate Entry Protection uses cookies to prevent multiple submissions. When surveys or forms are published via a URL or embedded on a site, now you can choose this option so that when a recognized cookie tries to fill up your survey or form again, it will give the respondent a message saying "The survey has already been completed, thank you for you participation".

Choose this option by going into the Options menu and selecting "Allow only one submission".

Themes & Logos

Choose from many different color schemes and CSS templates for your survey to give it the look and feel you prefer. Brand your online survey by uploading your logo which will display on the top left of the survey pages.

Date-Time Field on Forms

We have added a new field to the business web forms with a time entry. If you wanted to record the time someone entered your store, or the time a prospect came into your booth, now you can.

Previews

You can preview your questionnaire at any time. Survey preview opens in a new window. To preview your online questionnaire, simply click on the icon.

Survey Progress Bar Option

You now have the option of creating a survey progress bar so respondents can see the percentage of pages they have responded on the survey. In the Options menu, check the Create Page Progress Bar option.

Likert Scale Question

The online survey software now supports Likert scale rating questions.

Customize Greeting and Thank You Page

Create an optional introductory page and welcome respondents to your survey.

Manage Email Lists

You can send a questionnaire invitation to your email list using a simple list management tool. Track who responds to your survey, and send follow-up reminders to the slackers.

Online Surveys

Mineful's online questionnaire software has been deployed. From the beginning we have made it powerful, easy to use, complete and useful for any marketing professional. Some of its powerful features include:

• Choose from 8 different question types - Text, Numeric, Multiple Choice, Matrix, Likert Scale Ratings, Comment Box, and more!
• Start from an existing survey - Increase your productivity and create a survey based on a previously created survey. Start from an existing survey, tweak it, and publish it. Wow that was fast!
• Share Survey with Colleagues - Share your survey with co-workers and work as a team to create, edit, and analyze online surveys. On the Options Tab check the "Share with Company" option.
• Randomize Choices - Randomize choices simply by checking the "Randomize Choices" on the Question Wizard. The answer choices will display randomly for each survey participant.
• Publish Survey in Two Ways - Create a weblink or embed survey on your website or blog.

Web Business Forms

Mineful's web-based business form creator is an intuitive drag and drop tool that makes form building a walk in the park. Using Mineful Market Research Software, you can create web forms and collect submissions in two ways:

• integrate forms on your website and obtain information from your visitors OR
• keep the form internal and input information yourself or from your employees.

Data Views

Mineful's data views allows you to browse and view data submissions online. Click on the "Views" icon on the Desktop, select the survey or form for which you want to view the data, and browse away. When you are in the Data Views tab you can:

• View data for either surveys or forms
• Browse data in table form
• Browse data one by one as displayed to respondents
• Download data as a CSV file to use within Microsoft Excel or Access

Analysis Sandbox

The Analysis Sandbox is "The Place of Discovery". It is where you run different analyses and find those that are useful to you. For this first release the sandbox includes:

• Survey Distribution Analysis - A frequency count for all the questions on your survey
• Flash charts outputs

Introduction: A Desktop Feel
