What does it mean to dynamically hide a question?
It means that you can program your survey to hide or show a question based on user responses, logic, or pre-loaded data. There can be two sets of inputs that you can use to trigger show/hide:
- 1. An answer or rule of answers chosen by the respondent on a previous question
- 2. Data about the respondent that you upload beforehand. More about integrating data with your survey here.
Setting up the Hide/Show Feature
On the Surveys application, click on the pencil to Edit your survey. Now click on the survey Options icon
at the top of the page.
Select the Hide and Show tab. Configure hide and show in 4 easy steps:
- 1. Select the data field or question that will trigger the Hide/Show from the dropdown menu.
- 2. Select equal or not equal to
- 3. Select a choice.
- 3b. Optionally, press the green "plus" sign to add an additional statements.
- 4. Select the questions you want to hide when the rules in step 2 are triggered.
- 5. Give this rule a name, any name, and click on Add Rule.
