Skip Logic

Skip Logic

Skip logic allows you to 'Jump To' a page or 'Skip' a page depending on responses to a particular question. You can easily program your survey to answer or skip a certain question based on previous answers.

Steps to Add Skip Logic:

  1. Make sure you have more than one page on your survey. Skip logic can only be added after both the page which serves as the basis for the skip logic and the destination page are created (you cannot skip respondents from one question to another on the same survey page).
  2. Click the Skip Logic icon on the question which serves as the basis for the skip logic.
  3. Depending on the question type, you may select various rules. For example, if the question is numeric, you may select to skip if answer is less than a specified quantity. For simplicity, we will explain skip logic with multiple choice questions. Select a response that will trigger skip logic.
  4. Select one of three actions: Jump to a Page, Skip a Page, or End Survey. Select the page you want to jump or skip to.
  5. Enter a name for this rule and Save rule.
  6. Repeat Steps 3, 4, and 5 until you have entered all skip logic rules and scroll down to press Ok. Skip logic will now be implemented. To test, click the Preview button at the top of the page.

You can edit the skip logic rules by clicking the 'Skip Logic' icon and then the Pencil icon located by the name of each of the rules created.
