Sending Surveys and Forms

In this video, you will learn the 3 different ways you can collect data using Mineful"s market research and survey software.

1. Create a link to your survey or form and use it on your website or send it to a list of people using your email client. To create a link, click on the Publish link for the survey of interest, and select "Create a Web link".

Give your link a name. With a Personal account you can personalize the link and create a shorter URL. Simply copy the URL provided and paste it in the body of your email message or website. You can create as many links as you want and see the total number of responses for each link.

2. Creating a mailing list allows you to send bulk messages, track who has responded, and send reminders. Select “Create a Mailing list”. Give your list a name, and enter names and addresses either by manually typing them or pasting a comma separated file. Remember to use the following format: email “comma” first name “comma” and last name.

After your mailing list has been created you can:

1. Close your survey to respondents
2. Track email responses
3. Send email messages
4. Delete list
5. Or edit your list

Under edit, you can see again the overall statistics: email messages sent, total responses as well as individual response tracking.

From here we can also access the sending survey wizard.

Enter the email subject and body message. Use the first_name, last_name, and survey_link tags to extract the information needed for each entry on your list. Type a Reply To email address, select who you will send the survey message to and test your message or send when ready. The test message will be sent to the Reply To address.

3. You can embed your survey or form on your website by simply copying and pasting code. Under the Publish link, click on Create Source Code. Give this code a name you like. Simply copy the code from Mineful onto your site. Notice that you can add other codes to the same survey. This allows you to track responses from different places where you have located your survey. Notice that the code has settings like height and width that you can play around with to fit your needs. Once logged into Mineful, visit our Help Center to get details on changing these settings.
